King Graces LIMA’25, Showcasing Malaysia’s Defence and Aerospace Strength

LANGKAWI, May 21— His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, made a distinguished appearance at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA’25) held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) today.

Arriving at 10:15am, His Majesty was warmly received by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Chief of Defence Force General Datuk Mohd Nizam Jaffar. The King was accompanied by his sons — Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar, Tunku Panglima of Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman, and Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar.

The royal visit was further marked by the presence of several high-ranking officials, including Deputy Defense Minister Adly Zahari, Army Chief General Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan, Navy Chief Admiral Datuk Zulhelmy Ithnain, and Air Force Chief General Tan Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan.

During his tour, Sultan Ibrahim visited various key exhibition booths, including Sapura Secured Technologies (SST), the Royal Malaysian Air Force and Navy, and the Defense Ministry of Türkiye. The King’s visit concluded at 11:00am.

LIMA’25, co-organized by the Defense Ministry and Global Exhibitions and Conferences Sdn Bhd (GEC), stands as a pivotal platform for defense and aerospace stakeholders. This year’s edition carries the theme “Today’s Innovation, Tomorrow’s Achievements”, underlining the emphasis on technological advancement and industry competitiveness.

Recognized as one of Southeast Asia’s premier defense exhibitions since its inception in 1991, LIMA continues to foster strategic partnerships and innovation in maritime and aerospace sectors, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a regional hub for defense and aviation excellence.
