Johan Setia Records Nation’s Highest API Reading This Morning at 154
SHAH ALAM, OCT 5: Johan Setia in Selangor recorded the highest Air Pollutant Index (API) reading in the country this morning, reaching an unhealthy level of 154 as of 7.48am.
Pasir Gudang, Johor recorded the second-highest reading at 153, followed by Cheras in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Batu Pahat and Larkin in Johor, which each recorded 152.
Putrajaya was also at an unhealthy level with a reading of 147, followed by Nilai in Negeri Sembilan (124) and Segamat in Johor (108).
In Selangor, apart from Johan Setia, other monitoring stations remained at moderate levels, with Shah Alam recording 95, Banting (88), Klang (83), Petaling Jaya (79) and Kuala Selangor (72).
Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur was close to the unhealthy level with a reading of 99, followed by Serian, Sarawak at 98 and Bukit Rambai, Melaka at 97.
Overall, eight locations recorded unhealthy air quality based on APIMS data as of this morning, while most other locations remained at moderate levels.
As of the latest readings, no location on the list recorded very unhealthy or hazardous air quality levels.
