SUBANG JAYA: Women entrepreneurs, technology leaders, and strategic industry partners converged in Subang Jaya for the FemForward Forum 2026, a programme to boost women-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) via innovation, digitisation, and emerging technologies.

The event was organised by Women in Future Technologies & Malaysia Robotics, AI, and Automation Association and held at Yayasan Keluarga Holistik Malaysia (YaKHoM), DaMen USJ, on May 8th.
The programme was centred on equipping women entrepreneurs with tools and strategies in digital technology, e-commerce, access to finance, automation and business networking to help scale their businesses in the modern economy.

The forum was officially opened by Norli @ Norlaili Hj Alias, president of the Malaysian Women Entrepreneurs Association. The FemForward & MYRAS Awards were soft-launched during the ceremony, with the official awards to be held on August 7, 2026.

In her welcoming remarks, Jessica Ong Hai Liaw underscored the increasing role of women in the future of the digital economy.
“Women entrepreneurs need to be empowered not only in the traditional business practices but also in technology, artificial intelligence, automation and digital ecosystems to stay globally competitive,” she said.

The programme also acknowledged the important role of women and mothers in strengthening families and resilient communities as part of the MADANI framework, held in conjunction with Mother’s Day 2026.

One of the key highlights of the event was a panel discussion with industry experts discussing opportunities for women-led SMEs in areas such as e-commerce, logistics, digital marketing, legal advisory services and alternative financing.

The organisations that participated were EasyStore Commerce, Tresgo, Fundaztic and CelcomDigi, as well as representatives from the logistics and legal industries.

The event was attended by Ishkandar Baharin and members of the MYRAS executive committee. Avagrace Law gave the closing keynote.

The programme is part of the organisers’ ongoing efforts to build stronger digital ecosystems and wider economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs across Malaysia.
