EDM artist Alan Walker gets thousands of texts from fans after creating a WhatsApp number in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Ahead of his upcoming Walker world Tour 2024 in Sunway Lagoon, Subang Jaya, Selangor, well-known Norwegian disc jockey and producer Alan Walker has offered fans a personal way to contact with him.

Walker invited fans to text him on social media by posting his phone numbers in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The outpouring of almost 15,000 responses was an astounding response.

“Strollers! Walker posted the following message on his official Facebook page: “I’ve set up local numbers so you can WhatsApp me. Let me know if you are coming to my shows in June.” The post included a picture of Walker with a face mask and black hood.

On June 22, at 8 p.m., Walker—best known for his classics Faded and Alone will play at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon.

Fans from all around the world left love and support comments on his Facebook post, which received over 700 comments and nearly 2,000 shares. Some even requested that Walker come to their area to perform.

Walker subsequently announced on his X account that he had received more than 15,000 messages, although he omitted to mention which nations they were from.

Up to the Walker world concert, his phone number will be accessible, and fans are welcome to message him on WhatsApp for the chance of receiving a response.

At his show in Sunway Lagoon, Walker will be joined onstage by Putri Ariani, Robin Packalen, and Sofiloud.
