A.R. Rahman’s fans can cast votes to choose the songs that will be performed live in July

KUALA LUMPUR: Legend of Indian music A.R. Rahman is inviting his fans to vote for their favourite songs ahead of his seventh concert in Malaysia on July 27.

Ticket holders will be able to choose up to 40 songs from Rahman’s repertoire of over 300 hits that have a special meaning for them through the “Songs Vote” initiative, according to concert organiser Star Planet.

“This initiative aims to create a distinctive and unforgettable musical experience by allowing fans to actively participate and contribute to the concert setlist,” a statement from the organisation stated.

On July 27, at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Rahman, 58, will take the stage for the AR Rahman Live in Kuala Lumpur 2024 performance.

Rahman, who is adored as the “Mozart of Madras,” has received numerous accolades over the course of his more than 30-year musical career, including two Oscars, two Grammys, a Golden Globe, a Bafta, and six National Awards.All ticket holders are welcome to participate in the song selection process, which will be managed by a special website page that can be found at https://starplanet.com.my/show/arrahmankl2024/
