Malaysian Participants Shine at 65th International Tilawah and Quran Memorization Competition

KUALA LUMPUR: The 65th International Tilawah and Quran Memorization Competition concluded last night in an atmosphere filled with blessings and spiritual significance. The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of the Imam and Khatib of the Prophet’s Mosque, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Solah al-Budair, as the Guest of Honor.

A total of 71 tilawah participants and 32 hafazan participants from 49 countries competed in this year’s prestigious event. Organizers extended heartfelt congratulations to all winners across the various categories contested.

Malaysian participants made the nation proud with their outstanding achievements. Aiman Ridhwan bin Mohamad Ramlan was crowned champion in the Men’s Tilawah category, Wan Sofea Aini binti Wan Mohd Zahidi won the Women’s Tilawah category, and Putri Auni Khadijah binti Mohd Hanif secured second place in the Women’s Hafazan category.

Expressing gratitude, Malaysian leaders commended the participants’ dedication and exceptional performances, noting the event’s significance in strengthening the Muslim ummah’s connection to the Quran.

“I pray to Allah SWT that the message of the Quran continues to guide us all with truth and wisdom, inspiring every soul to study and reflect deeply upon its meanings, and that we may be among His servants who are pious,” one leader remarked.

The event once again reinforced Malaysia’s commitment to promoting Quranic appreciation and scholarship on the global stage.
