PETALING JAYA – Early Saturday afternoon, a fire broke out at a paper plant in Kampung Lembah Kinrara, Puchong. The fire destroyed almost 80% of the building, and they called for help from the Fire and Rescue Department.

The Puchong Fire and Rescue Department said in a statement that they got a call for help around 12:15pm and sent a team right away to the scene along Jalan Lembah Kinrara.

When the firefighters got there, the factory was on fire, and thick clouds of smoke were rising. When firefighters started putting out the fire, the building, which was about 100 feet by 120 feet, was already badly damaged.

The department stated, “The fire did about 80% of the damage to the building.” “We will release new information once the investigations are complete.”

Videos and pictures posted on social media by witnesses and locals showed thick black smoke rising from the building and being seen from a long way away. Some video footage showed how strong the fire was as it tore through paper and industrial equipment inside the building.

As of now, there have been no reports of accidents or deaths. Firefighters stayed on the scene until the afternoon to put out the fire completely and do work called “damping down.”

Researchers are still investigating the cause of the fire and conducting damage assessments. The fire serves as a poignant illustration of the potential risks associated with the use of easily flammable materials in industrial settings.

As the study goes on, more information is likely to come out.
