Leader: US and friends were “completely wrong” to think resistance was over

The United States and its supporters think that the resistance is over, but Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, says this is “completely wrong.”

“With the developments in Syria and the crimes of the Zionist regime and the US, they (the enemies) thought that the issue of resistance was over; they are completely wrong,” Khamenei said.

He declared, “The Zionist regime wants to encircle and eradicate [the Lebanese resistance group] Hezbollah through Syria, but it will eradicate Israel instead.”

The leader made these remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with a group of women from various backgrounds in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The gathering took place prior to the celebrations marking the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA), the cherished daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Ayatollah Khamenei also asserted that despite their deaths, the souls of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Yahya Sinwar, two leaders of Hezbollah and Hamas, remain alive.

He told us, “Their bodies may have gone, but their spirit and thoughts still remain, and their path will continue.”

The leader talked about how Gaza has been strong in the face of Israel’s daily attacks and how Lebanon’s resistance has not given up. He said that Iran stands by Palestinian and Hezbollah forces and will keep giving them all the support and help it can.

He also said that he hoped the good guys in the resistance would see the day when “the evil enemy would be trampled under their feet.”

Another part of Ayatollah Khamenei’s speech praised the role that Iranian women played in the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, as well as their work during Iraq’s war in the 1980s and the defense of holy sites in Syria and Iraq.

He also praised what women do in science, politics, and foreign relations.

He said that when the enemy realized that violent methods like war, bombing, racism, and sedition would not work to stop Iran’s Revolution, they turned to “soft” methods like propaganda and catchy but false phrases.

The leader told women to be aware of “temptations, malicious methods, and the soft war of ill-wishers” that are meant to get them to turn away from their beliefs.
