KUALA LUMPUR: Renowned rapper Altimet, alongside Zizi Kirana, Saixse, and Fahimi, has released a new motivational track titled Anak Malaysia (Child of Malaysia).

Altimet, whose real name is Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad, explained that the song’s goal is to uplift and support the Malaysian athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. Additionally, it was timed to boost the spirit of unity and independence in preparation for Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day.

“This song is more than just a melody; it’s a rallying cry designed to inspire athletes and all Malaysians. Regardless of where we are or what we do, we will always be proud to be children of Malaysia,” said Altimet, who is also the state assemblyman for Lembah Jaya.

Anak Malaysia is a collaborative effort, with the track composed by Iqie Hugh, Mage, Fahimi, Saixse, and Mambang. Mage, who also produced the song, noted that the blend of diverse genres and styles in the track reflects unity and determination while showcasing the proud spirit of Malaysians.

“We aimed to create something that not only motivates the athletes but also captures the essence of independence as we approach National Day celebrations,” Mage said.

The song, a joint project with SVLTAN Management, Faithful Music, and Universal Music Malaysia, underscores the commitment to supporting local talent and fostering national pride.

Zizi expressed hope that Anak Malaysia would serve as a source of strength for the athletes in Paris and inspire the local community to rally behind their country.

Released on July 26, the song is available on all major digital streaming platforms. A music video directed by Fareez Nasir was also launched on Faithful Music’s YouTube channel on the same day.
