Myanmar worker injured in shooting at Kedah rubber plantation

ALOR SETAR: A 40-year-old Myanmar rubber tapper was shot in the shoulder at a rubber plantation in Naka, near Padang Terap.

According to Padang Terap district police chief DSP Mulkiaman Manzar, the police were alerted to the incident at 5:45 PM and promptly dispatched a team to the scene.

“We received a report about a man who had been shot in the shoulder at the rubber estate. The victim was taken to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for treatment,” he stated.

The police are currently searching for the suspect involved in the shooting. The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code. – Bernama
