Miri Resident Confirms All Helicopter Crash Victims Have Died

MIRI: All victims of the Flying Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter that crashed at STOLport Long Lellang in the interior of Baram on Tuesday have been confirmed dead.

The Borneo Post, quoting Miri Division Disaster Management Committee Chairman and Miri Resident Galong Luang, reported that all five individuals on board the helicopter perished in the crash at the end of the runway at around 3.40 pm.

“Sadly, all five individuals on board the helicopter have been confirmed dead based on reports from the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) and the Ministry of Health (MOH).

“However, I am not yet able to provide the names of the deceased at this time,” he said in the report.

Earlier, the BO-105 helicopter with registration number 9M-LLF, operated by Layang-Layang Aerospace, was on a flight from Miri Airport to Long Lellang when it crashed.
