Johor Polls: Anwar Claims Flood Issues In Johor Have Been Resolved

BATU PAHAT: Pakatan Harapan Chairman, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, claimed that the flood problems in Batu Pahat, Muar and Segamat have been successfully resolved after taking over the government in 2022.

According to Anwar, the problems which had persisted for decades have been resolved through assistance that required a fairly large cost, as an effort to ensure that the people would no longer be affected by the natural disaster.

He said, although previously the Johor state government was under the Barisan Nasional administration, such assistance should be prioritised for the well-being of the people.

“Assistance is given regardless of whether they support us or not, including in Kelantan which is under the Pas administration.

“The flood mitigation projects in Johor have already commenced and they are carried out so that the affected people receive justice,” he said during his speech at the Yok! Merahkan Johor, Undi Harapan programme in Banang Jaya, Batu Pahat, last night.
