KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has announced an immediate restructuring of its administration in preparation for the upcoming Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.

PN Chairman, Datuk Seri Ir Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, said the reshuffle was made based on the powers provided under Clauses 8.3 (V), (VI) and (VII) of the Perikatan Nasional Constitution.

“Through this restructuring, BERSATU Vice President, Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin has been removed as Election Director and replaced by Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor.

“At the same time, Muhammad Sanusi has also been removed from the position of PN Treasurer, with his post being taken over by Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) Deputy President, S Subramaniam.

“In addition, BERSATU Secretary General, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has been removed from the position of PN Deputy Secretary General to comply with the requirements of the PN Constitution,” he said in a statement today.

The statement was issued immediately after the Opposition Members of Parliament meeting held at the PAS Headquarters tonight.

Ahmad Samsuri, who is also PAS Vice President, said an emergency meeting of the PN Supreme Council would be held in the near future to strengthen the coalition’s organisation.
