How Intense Is The Hatred Towards Me” – Khairul Aming Responds To Claims Of Facing A Downfall Era

KUALA LUMPUR : Entrepreneur and influencer, Khairul Aming Kamarulzaman, did not expect that there were netizens seemingly waiting for his downfall, simply because of a video he recently shared that garnered approximately 300,000 views.

Through a viral TikTok video on social media, Khairul, 34, also known as KA, admitted to being surprised when many made various assumptions, including thinking that his popularity was declining.

“I was like, oh my God… How intense is the hatred towards me? Just because one video got 300,000 views, people were already panicking.

“Yet they did not know that the video had actually been uploaded by me before. If you search for the original video uploaded in October last year, it has already garnered over 10 million views,” he said.

The influencer, who is famously known for his catchphrase “Hey, What’s Up Guys”, explained that the video was deliberately re-uploaded as an experiment to test how well TikTok’s detection system could identify content that had previously been posted.

Khairul said he only made slight edits and changed the voiceover before re-uploading the video.

“If we take the same video, edit it slightly and change the voiceover, will TikTok detect it as the same video or a new video? That is what KA wanted to test.

“Apparently, the system was indeed able to detect it as the same video, so the video seemed to be restricted and did not make it to the For You Page (FYP),” he said.

Khairul also took a swipe at some social media users whom he described as being too quick to jump to conclusions, to the point of linking low viewership with an alleged decline in his influence.

“Some said TikTok is no longer relevant, everyone has moved to Threads, and this is the era of Khairul Aming’s downfall.

“I read it and felt like, oh my God… that’s intense too. One video and out comes a PhD-level theory,” he said jokingly.

Khairul said the public should seek clarification first before making speculations, especially since the issue actually stemmed from an experiment he conducted on the platform’s artificial intelligence (AI) system.

At the same time, Khairul admitted that he does not dwell too much on viewership numbers, as he does not want to be obsessed with chasing figures alone.

“If the viewership is low, so be it. Just let the video run. There is no need to scramble to chase views.

“During Ramadan, I was already exhausted from chasing views. I can’t be bothered anymore. Just let it be,” he said.
