SHAH ALAM – The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) Foundation, or MBI Foundation, as the official sponsor of the SRG 2026 e-Sports School programme, has contributed RM100,000 in an effort to empower young talent development in e-sports in a more structured and professional manner.
In a post on Facebook, the MBI Foundation stated that this initiative is not only aimed at producing competitive e-sports players but also at building discipline, leadership, and digital skills that align with current needs.
“As a sign of support for youth development and the digital industry, the MBI Foundation is proud to be the Official Sponsor of the SRG 2026 e-Sports School programme by channelling a contribution of RM100,000.
“This involves RM10,000 to each of the 10 participating schools. It is hoped that this contribution will help strengthen student participation and produce more e-sports talent capable of bringing pride to Selangor and Malaysia,” the statement read.
According to the MBI Foundation, the programme was created to identify, guide, and develop young talent in the e-sports arena in a more systematic manner.
“Through comprehensive training and development modules, this programme opens opportunities for participants to enhance their skills and understand the career potential within the rapidly growing e-sports industry,” it said.
The MBI Foundation also expressed hope that the SRG 2026 e-Sports School will become a platform for producing future champion generations who are not only excellent in competitions but also possess outstanding character and leadership qualities.
