KUALA LUMPUR : The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced a new round of senior leadership appointments involving four high-ranking officers at both Bukit Aman and state police contingents.
In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Bukit Aman Corporate Communications chief ACP Julina Salehuddin confirmed that Perak police chief Datuk Noor Hisam Nordin will assume the position of director of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) at Bukit Aman.
Following the move, Penang deputy police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin has been appointed as the new Perak police chief.
Meanwhile, police secretary Datuk Abdul Rahman Kassim will take over as the new deputy police chief of Penang.
The reshuffle also includes the appointment of Pahang JPJKK chief Datuk Mohamad Noor Yusof Ali as the new police secretary. He will carry the acting rank of deputy commissioner of police (DCP).
According to ACP Julina, all appointments and transfers will officially take effect on June 15.
The latest restructuring is seen as part of the police force’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership and improve operational effectiveness across Bukit Aman and state contingents nationwide.
