PETALING JAYA – For the first time ever, the Absolut Bazaar X Festival Gaya Raya (ABxFGR) will expand overseas, including London next year.

The iconic Raya festival, usually held in Kuala Lumpur, will also be extended to Brunei and Penang with the aim of offering the public exciting options to shop for Aidilfitri essentials.

Organisers My Events International and Absolut Events & Management said in a statement that the decision to expand abroad follows high demand.

In Brunei, ABxFGR 2026 will be held at the Bridex International Convention Centre from February 27 to March 1, followed by the Penang edition at PICCA Convention Centre from March 6 to 8, 2026, and then at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur from March 13 to 16, 2026.

“To add to the excitement, the organisers will introduce a new platform specifically designed to empower local entrepreneurs on the global stage.

“Absolut Bazaar x MYExpo will be launched in London at Exhibition White City from May 2 to 3, 2026.

“Unlike ABxFGR, which focuses on festive season visitors, this initiative will serve as a gateway to strategic collaborations and entry into international markets,” they said.

According to the organisers, the London edition will also offer exclusive business-to-business (B2B) opportunities for participants to break into the wider European market.

“They will have the chance to meet distributors, buyers, and strategic partners, thereby paving the way for future collaborations, export expansion, and global market penetration.

“For SMEs looking to enter international markets and strengthen their competitive edge in the halal and global lifestyle sectors, this platform offers highly valuable exposure,” they added.

In addition to being recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the largest Raya festival exhibition for two consecutive years, ABxFGR has also achieved outstanding records, including recording sales revenue of RM62.6 million.

The festival also provided 2,365 booth spaces, attracted 7.95 million visitors, and featured 224 food and beverage (F&B) vendors.

“It was further enlivened by 120 celebrities, 48 partners and sponsors, as well as over 2,000 entrepreneurs and 400 local brands,” said the organisers.
