Zahid Confident BN-PN Wave Will ‘Spread’ to Melaka
SEREMBAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) will continue the understanding between both coalitions in the Melaka State Election (PRN), later.
BN Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said this follows the success of the understanding formed starting from the Johor state election which was then formalised in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Election.
“This mandate and decision will also bring a wave for us to continue the blue and dark blue wave that has already begun in Johor.
“Insya-Allah, it will continue to spread to Melaka,” he said at a press conference at Wisma UMNO Negeri Sembilan here tonight.
At the same time, Ahmad Zahid said the support from the people of various races, backgrounds and walks of life, including security personnel, shown in the state election carries a clear message that the people want stability.
Therefore, his side believes this is the true meaning of unity that the people of Negeri Sembilan and all Malaysians long for.
“However, this success cannot make us complacent and arrogant.
“This wave will only continue to grow if we repay the people’s confidence with performance, results and changes that can truly be felt by all the people,” he said.
