‘I Will Meet the Yang di-Pertuan Besar First’ – Ahmad Zahid on Negeri Sembilan MB Candidate

SEREMBAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, informed that he will meet the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan first to determine the Menteri Besar candidate.

This follows after the coalition together with Perikatan Nasional (PN) won the Negeri Sembilan State Election (PRN) today.

The Deputy Prime Minister said he will take such action as soon as possible.

“I will meet (the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan) first as soon as possible,” he said at a press conference at Wisma UMNO Negeri Sembilan tonight.

He said this when asked who will be the Menteri Besar candidate to be appointed after this.

Earlier, BN and PN announced they will form the Negeri Sembilan state government after the coalition obtained a two-thirds majority based on unofficial results of the PRN today.

Ahmad Zahid said, unofficially, BN won 18 seats, while PN obtained seven seats, thus giving both coalitions the majority to lead the state administration.
