Woman Killed, Five Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Tangkak

TANGKAK: A woman was killed and five others were injured in a crash involving five vehicles along Jalan Payamas, Taman Sentosa, early Sunday morning (Dec 16).

Tangkak Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Zamri Ayub said an FRT engine and an EMRS unit, staffed by eight personnel, were dispatched after an emergency call was received at 1.58am.

“The accident involved five vehicles, and the woman who died was a passenger in one of the cars. She was confirmed dead at the scene by Health Ministry personnel,” Zamri said in a statement.

Two other passengers from the same vehicle a 60-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man sustained injuries.

Three occupants of another car were also hurt: a 27-year-old woman, a 61-year-old woman, and a 14-year-old male teenager.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
