MANAMA, June 30— The United States Embassy in Bahrain has announced a return to normal staffing and operations, following a period of heightened alert during the recent conflict between Israel and Iran.
The embassy confirmed on Sunday, in a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, that it had resumed standard operational procedures.
Earlier this month, amid escalating tensions leading up to the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, the US military had authorized the voluntary departure of family members of American service personnel stationed in Bahrain. The move was part of precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety of U.S. citizens and personnel in the region.
The resumption of full embassy operations signals a perceived reduction in immediate regional threats, although the broader geopolitical situation in the Middle East remains tense.
Bahrain, home to the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet, plays a strategic role in American military operations in the Gulf and often sees increased security protocols during periods of regional unrest.
