Selangor postpones all Don Daniyal’s talk programs in mosques, suraus
SHAH ALAM: The state government confirmed the postponement of the religious talk and lecture program involving Ustaz Don Daniyal Don Biyajid or better known as Ustaz Don in Selangor.
Kosmo Online reported, the source said, the delay involving the speaker included all agencies and institutions of mosques, suraus and mosques.
“Yes, it is postponed for all mosques and suraus. (The reason for the delay) refer to the Selangor Department of Islamic Religion (JAIS),” he said simply when contacted by Kosmo! through the WhatsApp application, today.
Director of JAIS, Datuk Mohd. Shahzihan Ahmad informed that his party will issue a related statement tomorrow.
“JAIS will make a PR (media statement) tomorrow,” he stressed.
Earlier, it went viral on WhatsApp regarding a notice issued by (JAIS) dated 21 June regarding the postponement of Ustaz Don’s religious lectures and ceramah programs at all agencies and institutions of mosques, suraus and musollas in Selangor.
The postponement involves all programs that have been previously approved to be implemented and includes any program that is currently in the planning stage.
Previously, 40-year-old Ustaz Don was terminated by RTM as host of the program Salam Baitullah.
The celebrity preacher also apologized after making a misleading statement on a radio station regarding fasting on the second, third and fourth days of Aidiladha.
