Saudi Tourism Authority hosts exhibition and introduction session on ‘Nusuk’ platform in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: The Saudi Tourism Authority is hosting an introduction session aimed at the business sector to present the unified government platform ‘Nusuk’.
This special introduction session is organized to manage pilgrims visiting Mecca and Medina in Kuala Lumpur, the capital.
The introduction session is under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, and is attended by several Malaysian government officials.
Additionally, the Saudi Tourism Authority will also host an interactive exhibition targeting Malaysians at one of Southeast Asia’s largest shopping malls located in Putrajaya.
The special introduction session held in Kuala Lumpur was attended by several representatives from the private sector, including travel and Umrah agencies from both countries.
During the session, both parties discussed challenges, explored solutions, coordinated unique opportunities, and introduced services provided by ‘Saudi Tourism Authority’ partners to pilgrims and visitors in Malaysia.
Specifically, these services offered by over 200 recognized partners include flights, accommodation, transportation, various logistical services, and the organization of programs and sightseeing tours.
Saudi Arabia aims to receive 30 million Umrah pilgrims from around the world by 2030, in line with the Vision 2030 goals.
Given the deep respect and affection that Saudi citizens hold for their Malaysian counterparts, the Saudi Tourism Authority will organize a unique interactive exhibition from August 28 to September 1.
The exhibition will feature a virtual reality (VR) experience showcasing an extraordinary collection of Islamic historical stories at IOI City Mall.
Additionally, there will be a dedicated booth for ten Malaysian companies recognized by the ‘Nusuk’ platform to introduce and encourage visitors to perform Umrah and visit Medina.
This exhibition also provides an opportunity for visitors to explore various destinations and tourism experiences in Saudi Arabia after Umrah and learn about Saudi hospitality and friendliness.
Moreover, visitors will also have the chance to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 90 days a year.
Citizens from 66 countries, including Malaysia, can now apply for electronic visit visas through the ‘Visit Saudi’ platform.
This initiative aims to automate arrival procedures for performing Umrah, visiting the Prophet’s Mosque and Rawdah, provided an appointment is obtained through the Nusuk app, and exploring the historical, heritage, and cultural sites in Mecca and Medina.
It offers pilgrims an exceptional spiritual experience throughout the year, except during the Hajj season.
