Saudi Arabia’s Beit Hail Festival Draws Over 65,000 Visitors Since Opening

RIYADH, July 20 : The Beit Hail Festival, an ongoing cultural and heritage celebration in Hail, northwestern Saudi Arabia, has drawn more than 65,000 visitors since its launch on June 28, organizers confirmed.

Attracting attendees from across Saudi Arabia, the Gulf region, and beyond, the 30-day festival has become a major highlight of the summer season. Held at Aja Park, the event runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will continue until July 27.

Visitors have been treated to a vibrant mix of cultural, artistic, and traditional experiences that showcase the rich history of the region. Highlights include handicrafts, heritage-inspired residential models, Thamudic inscriptions, and a folk theater featuring performances inspired by the traditions of Aseer province.

One of the festival’s key attractions is its art pavilion, where renowned Saudi artists exhibit their works, including resin art displays that have garnered wide attention.

Traditional Saudi cuisine is also on offer, with live demonstrations of age-old cooking methods and tastes that represent the region’s culinary heritage.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that numerous government officials have toured the festival grounds, praising the event for its efforts to preserve cultural memory and highlight the historical lifestyle of Saudi communities.

Beit Hail Festival has successfully positioned itself as a family-friendly destination, combining education, entertainment, and heritage revival, further contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal of promoting cultural tourism.
