RIYADH, Nov 9: Saudi Arabia has taken another major step toward enhancing its business environment by fully digitizing industrial investment procedures, enabling investors to complete all requirements online, according to Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef.
Speaking at the 4th Digital Government Forum held in Riyadh on November 5–6, Alkhorayef said the new digital systems, including the Senaei platform, are making the investor journey in Saudi Arabia smoother and more efficient than ever before.
“The Senaei platform simplifies procedures related to industrial services and allows investors to complete their applications remotely, eliminating the need to visit ministry branches across the Kingdom,” Alkhorayef said, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
The two-day forum, hosted at the JW Marriott Hotel, brought together over 2,000 participants, including senior government officials, technology experts, and representatives from more than 100 digital transformation companies.
Alkhorayef highlighted that digital innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies are key drivers of Saudi Arabia’s industrial growth and competitiveness. He pointed to the Future Factories Program, which aims to transform 4,000 factories into automated, smart facilities through partnerships with private and international firms.
The minister also underscored the transformation within the mining sector, citing the Mansourah and Massarah gold mines in Makkah province as the first fully digital mines in the Middle East. Managed by the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden), these facilities can process up to four million tons of ore annually, marking a milestone in the Kingdom’s digital industrial transformation.
In a related development, Alkhorayef announced the launch of a digital services platform for exporters under the Saudi Export Development Authority. The new system will unify all government export services under one digital umbrella, simplifying export procedures and accelerating the growth of Saudi exports.
Alkhorayef concluded that these initiatives reflect the ministry’s strong commitment to Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a diversified, sustainable, and innovation-driven industrial economy.
“Digital transformation is not just a convenience it’s the foundation for a globally competitive and resilient Saudi industry,” Alkhorayef affirmed.
