Saudi Arabia is getting ready for a safe and peaceful Hajj
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has reiterated its complete commitment to guaranteeing a safe, peaceful, and well-coordinated Hajj season for 2025, as officials ramp up preparations across all sectors involved in overseeing the annual Islamic pilgrimage.
In line with these initiatives, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, presided over the Ministry of Interior’s annual ceremony recognizing the security forces assigned to Hajj operations.
The prominent event showcased a military parade alongside tactical demonstrations from various security units. Highlights included simulated emergency scenarios, aerial surveillance systems, specialized rapid response vehicles, and cutting-edge security technologies. The displays highlighted the Kingdom’s dedication to protecting the millions of pilgrims anticipated to gather in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, emphasized that the Saudi leadership remains committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and spiritual experience of pilgrims by utilizing all essential resources and capabilities.
He observed that thorough planning and better coordination among various government agencies have led to improved crowd management and more efficient inter-agency collaboration. These measures aim to ensure that pilgrims experience the utmost safety, security, and tranquility while fulfilling their religious obligations.
Concerning the Aman Saudi Initiative
The Aman Saudi Initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior, is a comprehensive national program focused on enhancing public safety, preventing crime, and promoting legal awareness across the Kingdom.
In alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the initiative seeks to establish a secure, law-abiding, and digitally empowered society. Key platforms like Absher and Nafath are essential in streamlining access to government services and improving internal security measures.
Aman Saudi promotes cooperation between security agencies and citizens through public awareness campaigns, educational programs, and technology integration, encouraging a shared responsibility in maintaining law and order. This initiative plays a crucial role in fostering a safer and more harmonious environment for residents and visitors, particularly during significant events such as the Hajj.
