RIYADH:  Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday strongly condemned an Israeli airstrike on the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, that killed medical staff and journalists.

According to Gaza’s health ministry, the attack struck the hospital’s fourth floor in a “double-tap” strike, leaving at least 20 people dead, including four journalists.

In a statement, the Saudi ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom’s categorical rejection of Israel’s ongoing violations of international humanitarian law. It urged the international community to take immediate steps to halt such attacks and to guarantee the safety of medical, humanitarian, and media workers operating in conflict zones.

The condemnation coincided with remarks by Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan at a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, where he warned that Israel’s repeated violations threaten to derail international efforts aimed at achieving a two-state solution.
