‘Saazish’ makes records as Malaysia’s largest budget Punjabi action film
KUALA LUMPUR: Saazish, Malaysia’s highest-budget Punjabi action movie, is scheduled for release nationally on July 4.
According to director Arjin Uppal, the movie’s main subject centres on greed and conspiracy, entangling a variety of people in a convoluted story that emphasises riches and intrigue.
With a cast that includes Kulbeer Singh, Avinder Singh, Amaan Singh Virk, Navinder Kaur, and Adi Putra, the ninety-minute Saazish (Conspiracy) promises exciting scenes and beautiful conversation that break from the standard opening shots of Indian films.
Arjin told Bernama following the grand opening on June 25 at TGV Cinemas 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, that “Malaysian audiences can expect a cinematic experience blending cultural elements with suspenseful storytelling.” The film has an initial distribution in 35 locations with possibilities for expansion.
Sri Saheb Production Sdn Bhd is the film’s financier.
While this was going on, Navinder was thinking back on her first theatrical film, saying, “The movie is definitely making history in Malaysian Punjabi cinema and bringing in more opportunities.”
According to her, the movie’s greatest feature is the variety of languages used to highlight Malaysians’ diversity.
“Shooting with the entire team has been a journey that I will always treasure,” she stated.
“I sincerely appreciate being a part of this film and am hoping for a lot of support from the viewer. The national arm wrestler and model Navinder remarked, “You will definitely see a blend of action, romance, and family drama all in one. – BERNAMA
