Religion leaders should take a more active role in advocating justice, according to PM
PETALING JAYA: In an effort to advance justice, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim exhorts religious leaders to adopt a more proactive, decisive, and brave posture.
He stated that this is because the public is fed up with political leaders arguing with one another.
They can shout about democracy and human rights without any moral compass, conscience, or understanding of what justice is.

“We’ve lost all sense of what to believe. Thus, “let the religious leaders take your place,” he declared during today’s International Conference of Religious Leaders’ inaugural speech.
His deputies, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, cabinet ministers, foreign ambassadors, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr. Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, were also present.

The conference, which runs until tomorrow, strives to create a common vision for civilization that unites the ideals of moderation and togetherness, combats the dangers posed by radical ideologies, and turns disagreements into opportunities for understanding, collaboration, and harmony.
