KUALA LUMPUR: Putrajaya Line train services resumed normal operations from 1.27pm today after temporary repair works to restore the power supply following a cable theft incident near Taman Equine Station were successfully completed.

Rapid KL said in a statement today that the restoration of the power supply allowed the train that had previously been stranded at Taman Equine Station to resume its journey, enabling services to return to normal.

According to the statement, the alternative train services provided throughout the disruption have also been discontinued.

However, train frequencies are being gradually adjusted to ensure operations return to full stability.

Meanwhile, free shuttle bus services will continue to operate until 3pm, after which the need to continue the service will be reassessed based on operational requirements at the time.

Rapid KL said cable repair works would continue tonight during engineering hours to complete the infrastructure restoration process.

At the same time, Rapid KL is cooperating with the authorities to assist in the investigation into the cable theft incident.

“We apologise for any inconvenience experienced by passengers throughout the disruption and greatly appreciate their patience and cooperation,” the statement said.

Passengers are also advised to obtain the latest service updates through Rapid KL’s social media channels and the MyRapid PULSE journey planning application.
