Puteri Sarah received an offer to be an escort for RM15k
KUALA LUMPUR: “I recently received an opportunity to work as an escort, just because I was divorced! Can you believe it?”
At yesterday’s press conference for the newest police television series, “Polis Peronda,” at Sri Pentas in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, actress Puteri Liyana disclosed this information to reporters.
Considering that she received the message while filming the TV show at a police station, the 38-year-old artist thought it was humorous.
“I got an email from a con artist posing as actress Nadia Brian. She inquired as to my availability later that night and whether I would be interested in going out for drinks with a “Datuk.”The message indicated that all I had to do was watch this person drink, and that I would receive RM15,000.
“I told her flatly, that I wasn’t that kind of person and this person had the nerve of asking me if I could share Emma’s mobile number,” she recalled.
It dawned on her then that it might not be Nadia but rather a scammer.
“Nadia was taken aback to learn that when I promptly called her to confirm this.”
She reported the incident to the authorities as soon as she arrived at the police station.
