Pakistan condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday for suggesting that a Palestinian state should be established in Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, stated that his country “strongly condemns” the remarks made by the Israeli leader.

According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the remarks were described as “irresponsible, provocative, and inconsiderate.”

Pakistan and other Islamic countries regard Netanyahu’s statement as an action that undermines the Palestinian people’s right to have their own independent and sovereign state, based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Egypt emphasized that the security and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia are a “red line” and that it would not allow anyone to cross it.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) also described the Israeli leader’s remarks as “incitement against Saudi Arabia and a violation of the country’s sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity.”

It further stated that such remarks clearly violate the principles of international law and the United Nations (UN) Charter.

The 57-member body also rejected any Israeli plans to expel Palestinians from lands illegally occupied by the Zionist entity.

During Netanyahu’s recent visit to the White House, former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly discussed plans to relocate Palestinians from Gaza and allow the U.S. to take over the territory.

The provocative statements by U.S. and Israeli leaders have sparked global outrage, as they clearly violate international law.

Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq also condemned Netanyahu’s remarks regarding Saudi Arabia.

The head of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, described Netanyahu’s rhetoric as unacceptable and far from reality.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister held telephone discussions with his counterparts from Egypt, Türkiye, and Iran regarding the latest developments in Gaza and the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Dar also expressed Pakistan’s support for holding an extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers to discuss the Gaza issue.
