New attacks by Israel kill 40 people in Lebanon; new attacks are aimed at Beirut
The Israeli government has launched new airstrikes against eastern Lebanon, killing at least 40 people. The government has also launched new attacks on Beirut, the city of Lebanon.
Lebanon’s health ministry reported the deaths on Wednesday. The ministry also reported that the airstrikes that hit the Bekaa Valley, including the city of Baalbek, injured 53 other people.

According to reports, the government attacked areas in Beirut’s southern suburbs early on Thursday morning, including a site close to Rafiq Hariri International Airport.
The attacks occurred as a result of the government issuing short-notice evacuation orders to residents of the areas, citing the presence of Hezbollah resistance movement facilities.
Since October, when it stepped up its attacks on Lebanon and killed many more people, Tel Aviv has made numerous similar claims to justify the need for escalation. Hezbollah, on the other hand, has always denied the claims.
In its most recent flash report on the humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s crimes against Lebanon, the UN also said on Wednesday that the attack had “reached a critical point.”
The attacks have killed more than 3,000 people, the study said. This was “58 percent more than the 1,900 deaths” caused by the regime’s war against Lebanon in 2006.
“Lebanon and neighboring countries have forced another estimated 1.3 million people to leave their homes.” This is 33% more than in 2006 of those displaced “said.
The report said most who lost their homes in Lebanon due to Israeli strikes were women.
The article also expressed sadness over the fact that 78 Israeli attacks on healthcare centers across the country had resulted in the deaths of 130 health workers and injured 111 others.
As a reaction to the aggression, Hezbollah has launched hundreds of attacks against the occupied Palestinian territories and the Israeli forces that are trying to move into southern Lebanon.
The movement has said it will keep up its strikes until the government stops making things worse.
