Natasha Targets Team Gold at 2026 IBF World Cup

KUALA LUMPUR: National bowling ace Natasha Mohamed Roslan has set her sights on helping Malaysia clinch the gold medal in the women’s team event at the 2026 International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Cup, scheduled to take place in Munich, Germany, from 13 to 21 October.

Natasha is optimistic that the national squad’s strength in team spirit and communication will drive the team to achieve that success, thereby improving on their performance after losing 2‑3 to the United States in the final in Hong Kong last year.

“I hope this year we will improve on our achievement. The team event is always the target because every player will bring home a medal,” she said when met recently.

Meanwhile, the 30‑year‑old athlete acknowledged that defending her individual World Cup title this time would not be an easy challenge, but remains determined to give her best performance.

She expects tougher competition in the individual event this time, with challengers from the United States, Germany, Sweden and Singapore, in addition to her own teammates.

Natasha made history when she became the first Malaysian women’s bowler to win the IBF World Cup after 13 years, defeating German representative Birgit Noreiks 217‑166, 226‑169.
