NADI will improve the standard of living of the local community – SKMM
KUALA LUMPUR: The Smart Service of the National Information Distribution Center (NADI) implemented through the MADANI Community in each State Legislative Assembly (DUN) will improve the standard of living of the local community.
According to Bernama, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) in a statement on Monday informed that the initiative will also add value to the well-being of the people.
“The existing program at NADI has been reorganized by MCMC and it is guided by five cores which are entrepreneurship, lifelong learning, self-wellness, awareness and government initiatives.
“This reorganization is to empower the community in addition to ensuring access and equal opportunities to meet the specific needs of the local community,” according to the statement.
According to MCMC, the initiative is also part of the process of improving NADI’s functions, which now focuses on the provision of collective Internet access, as a center for disseminating the latest and most accurate information, especially for government initiatives and its benefits for the people.
“As of last June 30, a total of 75 NADIs have been operating in Perak and four of them are new NADIs built under the 1 DUN 1 NADI initiative,” according to the statement.
MCMC announced this smart service initiative as a result of the MADANI Digital Economy Center Conference organized on 29 Nov 2023 and is a digital service provided in all NADI nationwide.
Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim inaugurated NADI at Kampung Dato’ Ahmad Said Additional 2 in Ipoh, Perak, on Monday.
At the ceremony, Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil said that the initiative would usually benefit the community around three or four kilometers from the physical center in addition to the involvement of the Department of Information and Civil Society.
