Malaysia’s humanitarian assistance to Palestinian citizens

The Hashemite Government of Jordan organized the presentation ceremony for Malaysia’s humanitarian aid check to Palestine.

On 18 December 2024, YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, conferred a cheque amounting to USD 5 million to Dr. Ismael Maddallah Suliman Maaytah, the Ambassador of Jordan.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein is leading this initiative to alleviate the suffering and escalate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

By utilizing the Palestinian People’s Special Trust Account (PTA), Malaysia is able to uphold its dedication to providing essential assistance to the Palestinian populace while working in concert with the Government of Jordan, United Nations agencies, and other nations that share similar values.

Malaysia dedicates itself to directing the provision of fundamental necessities, such as food, medical supplies, and other critical assistance, to meet the pressing humanitarian needs of the Palestinian populace in Gaza.

Malaysia continues to uphold its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of self-determination, advocating for the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state , grounded in the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem designated as its capital.

Malaysia has consistently articulated its support for the Palestinian people, advocating for their freedom, dignity, and justice on the international stage.
