Malaysia Confirms No Citizens Affected After Kuwait Airport Drone and Missile Attacks: Wisma Putra

PUTRAJAYA: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra) has confirmed that all registered Malaysians in Kuwait remain safe following drone and missile attacks on Kuwait International Airport in the early hours of June 3, 2026.

In a media advisory issued on Thursday, the ministry said it is closely monitoring the situation through the Embassy of Malaysia in Kuwait. It added that no reports of Malaysian nationals being affected have been received so far.

Following the incident, Kuwait International Airport has been temporarily closed, with all commercial flights suspended until further notice. Malaysians affected by the disruption have been advised to contact their respective airlines for alternative travel arrangements and rescheduling.

Wisma Putra urged Malaysians in Kuwait or those travelling through the region to remain highly vigilant and strictly comply with instructions issued by local authorities, including any movement restrictions or emergency directives.

The ministry also reminded Malaysians who have not yet registered their presence in Kuwait to do so immediately via the e-Konsular portal at https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my to ensure effective communication and assistance during emergencies.
