JOHOR BARU: The Johor government has spent more than RM66 million to upgrade public healthcare facilities across the state, as part of ongoing efforts to improve medical services and accessibility for residents, says Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
He said the investment reflects the state administration’s commitment to strengthening the public healthcare system and ensuring better quality services for the people of Johor.
According to Onn Hafiz, the allocation has been channelled into upgrading healthcare infrastructure, improving medical equipment, and enhancing service delivery in government health facilities statewide.
He added that the upgrades are aimed at ensuring more efficient healthcare services, reducing congestion in hospitals, and improving patient care standards across Johor.
The Menteri Besar emphasised that healthcare remains one of the state’s key priorities, particularly in meeting the needs of a growing population and supporting long-term wellbeing.
He said the state government would continue to work closely with the federal government to further strengthen the healthcare system and ensure residents have access to quality medical services.
The announcement underscores Johor’s broader development agenda focused on improving public welfare through strategic investments in essential services.
