Information technology skills must be mastered by students, says Azman Abidin

KUALA LUMPUR: The Prime Minister’s Political Secretary, Datuk Azman Abidin, stated that the importance of information technology has become a priority due to its role in transforming nearly every aspect of modern life.

He said that information technology has revolutionized the world and changed the way we communicate, conduct business, and access information.

“Today, we can see how quickly information technology is evolving.

“Therefore, every student must be prepared for changes in current technology, as this provides space and career opportunities for the future,” he said.

He made these remarks after officiating the Information Technology Skills Enhancement Program at Sekolah Menengah Kena Pertama Jaya 1, Pasir Gudang, Johor.

Azman mentioned that the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, places great emphasis on technological development, and the government is now focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He hopes that students will gain as much knowledge as possible from the program and avoid being overwhelmed by the rapidly advancing field of information technology, which could disadvantage students in this country.

“I congratulate and commend Rozy Razit from the Mytech Pioneer Club for organizing this program.

“I also had the opportunity to visit the school premises and received complaints from the school regarding several issues, such as the school building and the pump house,” he said.
