Cost of Living and Sabah Election Preparations Are the Main Topics of the PKR Political Bureau Meeting

Today was the first meeting of the People’s Justice Party (PKR) Political Bureau for the 2025–2028 session. The meeting’s agenda was to discuss how to implement government policies and their impact on the cost of living.

In a release, the PKR Political Bureau said that the meeting, which was led by PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, also worked out better ways to make sure that the party always put the needs of the people first.

Besides that, the meeting also talked about the side’s

getting ready for the Sabah State Election (PRN), which is going to happen soon. “The Deputy President and all Vice Presidents have also been given specific tasks to ensure the victory of the party and component partners in the MADANI Unity Government,” it said.

Mustapha Sakmud, the former chairman of the Sabah State Leadership Council (MPN), will continue in his role as Sabah State Chairman until new MPN leadership emerges. His responsibility is to make sure that election plans don’t stop.
The office says that Datuk Peto Galim will keep his job as director of the Sabah State Election Committee (JPRN).

Meanwhile, the bureau said that the meeting agreed that Fuziah Salleh and William Leong would continue to do their jobs as PKR Secretary-General and Treasurer-General until the next Central Leadership Council Meeting chose a new leadership team.
Anwar said last Saturday that he was sure the new government could make the country stronger.
