Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, wants writers to stay excited about their job and continue to help the country grow while also reporting on the problems people are having. In honor of National Journalists’ Day (HAWANA) today, the Prime Minister thanked journalists and stressed how important they are to the country.
He said that part of this job was to help and correct people.
to help the state and country grow. I want to thank the journalists for doing such a wonderful job.
“They are critical for reporting on the problems people are having,” he told the press after meeting with leaders of Sabah Pakatan Harapan tonight.
In addition, Anwar recognized the sacrifices and challenges that journalists have to go through to do their jobs and encouraged them to keep working hard.
We observe HAWANA every year on May 29. In 2025, the HAWANA Celebration Summit will take place on June 14 at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), and the Prime Minister will open it.
The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama), which is responsible for putting together HawāAna, is responsible for several events. These include the Pantun Festival on May 31, a pre-launch ceremony with strategic partners at Wisma Bernama on June 3, and a media forum organized with the Malaysian Press Institute (MPI) on June 14.
