Car crashed into the fence of Istana Besar Johor

JOHOR BAHRU: A Toyota Vios driven by a 25-year-old man crashed into the Istana Besar fence yesterday.

According to Bernama, South Johor Bahru Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said the incident at about 3pm happened due to the slippery road surface.

“The man was driving the car alone. His car crashed on its own without involving other vehicles and he was not injured.

“The investigation also found that the driver was not intoxicated and the urine test done on the man was also negative for drugs,” he said.

He said the driver was released on police bail and the case was investigated in accordance with Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Earlier, several pictures and a three-second video showing a car crashing into the palace fence were circulated, resulting in damage to the fence.
