ASEAN Strengthens Regional Defence Industry Cooperation in Melaka

MELAKA, Sept 10 (VoM): The 3rd Consultative Group Meeting of ASEAN Defence Industry Collaboration (ADIC) and the 6th Workshop on ADIC convened at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Melaka, serving as a vital platform to strengthen regional defense industry ties.

The sessions provided an avenue for ASEAN member states to discuss the future direction of defense industry cooperation, enhance expertise sharing, and explore opportunities for joint capacity building.

This year’s gathering reaffirmed ASEAN’s commitment to advancing a sustainable and competitive defense industry ecosystem, anchored on strategic collaboration to safeguard regional stability and security.

By fostering deeper cooperation, ASEAN aims to build stronger industrial linkages, promote technological innovation, and ensure collective readiness to address evolving defense and security challenges.
