GEORGE TOWN:The ASEAN Navies’ City Parade (ANCP) 2025 was held today around Padang Kota Lama, graced by the presence of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Penang, Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Hj Ramli bin Ngah Talib, and his wife.
The Head of State was received by Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Chief Admiral Tan Sri (Dr.) Zulhelmy bin Ithnain, his wife, and senior leadership of the RMN.

This year’s ANCP was organised in conjunction with the Hari Buletin 4.0 celebration, jointly hosted by the Penang State Government and coordinated by Naval Region 3 Headquarters.
The parade featured naval personnel from ASEAN member states participating in the 3rd ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise (AMNEX) 2025. The last time such a parade took place in Penang was on May 19, 1990, during the International Fleet Review.
A total of 10 naval contingents with 301 personnel marched in today’s event, accompanied by the Malaysian Sea Cadet Corps and school marching bands from Penang and Kedah. The participation of contingents from the RMN Training Centre KD SRI PINANG and the Royal Malaysian Navy Veterans Association added to the spirit of unity between the RMN, reservists, and veterans.
