Anwar receives courtesy visit from International Criminal Court Prosecutor
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a courtesy visit on Tuesday from International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim Khan.
According to Bernama, in a post on Facebook, Anwar stated that during the meeting, he was briefed on the ICC’s role and developments in international issues, particularly in Palestine and Myanmar.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Malaysia demands accountability for all heinous crimes committed by the Zionist regime of Israel, including persecution of Palestinians, especially children.
“I also urged the ICC to expedite actions to uphold justice for the Palestinian people,” he said.
Regarding the Myanmar issue, Anwar reiterated Malaysia’s readiness to cooperate with ASEAN countries in seeking a resolution.
