Agenda Suria Deepavali Carnival attracts over 400,000 visitors

KUALA LUMPUR – The 22nd Deepavali Carnival 2024 (DC24) organised by Agenda Suria Communication at the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex has attracted over 400,000 visitors.

Agenda Suria Communication founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jaggarao Simancha said that DC24 which started from October 22 and ended today and was held at Open Park B had featured various traditional foods of the Indian, Malay and Chinese communities.

He said DC24 which runs from 12 noon to 10 pm is expected to be visited by 30,000 to 50,000 more visitors on the last day of its organization.

He said the event continues to be well received every year and is now the focus of the Indian community in making preparations to celebrate the Festival of Lights.

“We are very satisfied because this ceremony took place very lively and received such good cooperation and response from all the people of Malaysia, not only the Indian community but the Malays and Chinese.

“I would like to thank all the vendors involved and all the visitors who came to our carnival,” he said when met at the Closing Ceremony of the 22nd Deepavali Carnival.

Yesterday, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo attended the closing ceremony and paid a visit to the Deepavali Carnival.

Meanwhile, Jaggarao is also determined to make the carnival even bigger in the future.

He said this year’s organization, which received an amazing response, was his party’s biggest success.

“What makes me happy is that this shows a good economic performance.
This is how buying power is good this time.

“We also got good vendor comments. This shows that Malaysia’s economy is heading in the right direction. This is a sign that the country’s economy is improving,” he said.

Jaggarao said in addition to featuring traditional Indian food, DC24 also introduced food from the Malay and Chinese communities.
