Abdul Azeez to appear in court for remand proceedings before corruption charges
KUALA LUMPUR: Former Chairman of Lembaga Tabung Haji, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, will be brought to the Sessions Court (Criminal 2) here for separate remand proceedings before facing corruption charges on Wednesday.
His lawyer, Datuk Abu Bakar Isa Ramat, said that Azeez, 60, was detained by the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department on Tuesday afternoon before being taken to the Dang Wangi police station.
“The police will apply for a remand order under Section 420 of the Penal Code,” he said when met at the courthouse lobby.
