MELAKA: Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ab Rauf Yusoh has completed his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) through the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for Qualifications (APEL.Q) programme over two years at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

In a Facebook post yesterday, Ab Rauf said the official confirmation letter from the UKM Senate was presented to him by UKM Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Sufian Jusoh, accompanied by a university delegation that visited his residence in Masjid Tanah here on Tuesday night.

Ab Rauf said his research, titled “Digital Technology Management Among Traditional Village Communities: An Analysis of the Melaka Digital Village Initiative”, focused on how digital technology could benefit traditional village communities in adapting to digital transformation.

“To me, knowledge is not merely about obtaining a degree, but must be translated into benefits and positive changes for the people.

“I dedicate this achievement to all the people of Melaka. This is not merely a personal accomplishment, but a tribute to Melaka and a reflection of my commitment to continue strengthening the Digital Village initiative for the future of the people,” he said.

Ab Rauf expressed his appreciation to the entire UKM community, lecturers and research team for their guidance, support and cooperation throughout the period of completing his research.

According to him, the research findings will be published in a journal to serve as reference material and inspiration for future generations, particularly in strengthening the digitalisation agenda of rural communities.
