Olivia Rodrigo will perform in Singapore and other Asian nations instead of Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo will make her Singaporean debut on October 1 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. She has announced the Asian and Australian legs of her Guts world tour.

Aside from many performances in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, the 21-year-old American pop artist has also made stops in Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan.

The announcement poster had the phrase “Stay tuned Manila!” which suggests that the singer would also be making an appearance in the Philippines, according to news reports.

Of German, Irish, and Filipino ancestry, Rodrigo initially came to notice as a cast member of the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark (2016) and the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019).

Subsequently, she dropped her first studio album, Sour, in 2019 and her second album, Guts, the previous year. Both albums reached the top of numerous international music charts.

Known for her popular singles Drivers License, Good 4 U, Deja Vu, and Vampire, Rodrigo has received numerous honours, including seven Billboard Music Awards and a Grammy for Best New Artiste in 2022.
