Yemen has pledged to respond to the lethal US strikes in a “professional and painful” manner

Yemen’s Supreme Political Council has vowed to punish the criminal regime in a “painful” way and denounced the US’s lethal attack against the country in favor of Israel.

The declaration was made on Sunday, one day after the United States launched extensive military attacks on the Yemeni provinces of Sa’ada, Dhamar, Hajjah, and al-Bayda, as well as the country’s capital, Sana’a. US President Donald Trump ordered air and naval operations that killed at least 31 people, primarily women and children.

Targeting civilians, according to the council, demonstrates the US’s inability to engage in conflict. It also stated that the action will only heighten tensions rather than dissuade Yemenis from helping Gaza.

The warning stated that the aggressors against Yemen will face professional and agonizing punishment from God’s will.

The council also pointed out that the airstrikes on Yemen represent a significant threat to international navigation in the area and signal a return to the militarization of the Red Sea.

As with their genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, the United States and the Zionist organization will collapse and retire in shame and defeat, it said.

In the meantime, the council urged the international community to carry out its obligations in light of the “reckless US-Israeli aggression,” which will have repercussions for everyone.

It stated that until the siege on Gaza is lifted and humanitarian aid is allowed to enter, Yemen is still dedicated to helping and supporting Palestine, and naval activities will continue.

In response to the siege of Gaza by the Tel Aviv regime, the Yemeni Armed Forces launched a naval operation against Israeli-affiliated vessels in the southern Red Sea, the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea a few days prior to the aggression.

Trump said the attack was intended to “protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore navigational freedom” in a social media post.

“US airstrikes encourage Israel to continue the siege of Gaza.”

The spokesperson for the Ansarullah opposition movement, Mohammed Abdul Salam, claimed that the US president’s “false” statement misleads public opinion around the world. He stated that until humanitarian aid is permitted into Gaza, Yemen’s naval campaign is restricted to Israeli cargo.

“In addition to encouraging the Israeli enemy entity to continue its unjust siege of Gaza, the US airstrikes on Yemen are a blatant aggression against an independent state,” Abdul Salam stated.

A Saudi official denies Riyadh’s involvement in the US attack.
According to some sources, the US received logistical support for the strikes on Yemen from Saudi Arabia.

An unidentified Saudi official told Al-Arabiya news station that the accusations were “misleading” and that the country had not assisted the US in the aggression.
